Electronic expansion valve (EEV) troubleshooting
Meters refrigerant under controller commands, often responding to several measured temperatures and operating states.
Failure causes
Choose a cause for symptoms, checks that separate it from similar faults, repair direction and verification.
EEV coil, harness or drive fault →The actuator cannot execute a valid controller command because the electrical path or drive is impaired.Sticking or restricted valve →The valve or its refrigerant path cannot deliver the expected flow despite a valid actuation circuit.Incorrect inputs or initialization →A healthy valve receives the wrong operating request because sensing, setup or startup position is incorrect.
