Safety notice
This is a simulator. Real HVAC equipment operates at 230 volts and can kill you.
Nothing here qualifies anyone to work on live equipment. The readings, procedures and repairs modeled in this app are simplified for teaching and are not a substitute for manufacturer service literature, an apprenticeship, or your own trained judgment on a real machine.
On real equipment, always:
- De-energize at the disconnect AND the breaker, then verify zero volts with a meter you have just proven on a known live source.
- Discharge capacitors before touching their terminals. A disconnected capacitor holds a lethal charge.
- Follow lockout/tagout. Assume every circuit is live until your own meter says otherwise.
- Never bypass a safety switch, never upsize a fuse or breaker beyond the equipment nameplate, and never leave a jumper in place.
- Work within your license, training and local code. Refrigerant handling requires EPA Section 608 certification in the United States, and A2L refrigerants add flammability requirements.
If you are not a trained technician, hire one.
