Failure causes
Choose a cause for symptoms, checks that separate it from similar faults, repair direction and verification.
Open, shorted or disconnected sensor circuit →The controller receives an input outside the sensor circuit’s valid electrical range.Drifting or incorrect replacement sensor →A sensor gives a plausible but inaccurate input because it has drifted or uses a different characteristic.Poor sensor contact or location →A displaced pipe clip, missing approved insulation or unsuitable sensing location measures the wrong thermal condition.
