What happens
The unit’s input arrangement, switching or protection does not match its required operating and service design.
Typical symptoms
Unexpected shutdown, inconsistent input selection or equipment that remains energized after an assumed isolation.
Checks that distinguish this cause
Inventory every input and protective device against the hybrid manual. Establish actual isolation and control state before inspecting electronics; the AC disconnect alone is not proof that the unit is safe.
What can look similar
A general inverter drive fault can stop operation regardless of the energy source.
Repair direction
Correct the proven installation or replace the approved failed input component through qualified service.
Verify the repair
Verify the documented isolation procedure and operating transitions for each permitted source.
Equipment-specific limits
Photovoltaic circuits can remain energized in daylight after the AC breaker is opened. Qualified personnel must follow the exact isolation, connector and input-limit instructions for every energy source.
