Condenser fan motor troubleshooting

Moves outdoor air through the heat-rejection coil in cooling operation.

Failure causes

Choose a cause for symptoms, checks that separate it from similar faults, repair direction and verification.

Open winding or failed motor →A motor winding, internal protector or applicable electronic drive fails to produce rotation.Missing power, wiring or capacitor support →The motor cannot operate because its required supply or PSC capacitor circuit is incomplete.Blocked blade or wrong airflow →Mechanical obstruction, incorrect rotation or the wrong blade arrangement limits heat rejection.
